V60 Dripper

This brewing method is widely used in the coffee market. Its name comes from the 60-degree angle that forms the V-shape. Spiral grooves around the inside, support the extraction and movement of the paper filter. The hole at the bottom gives you control over your brewing time. The paper filter allows some of the coffee oils to pass through, giving a better texture and a clean and balanced cup.
The spiral grooves hold the ground coffee away from the walls of the pan allowing air to pass through, resulting in a smoother extraction with a more balanced effect.

Start heating water to a desired temperature of 92–96 ° C. Place the V60 utensil on the jug and add the paper filter. Wet the filter with hot water to remove the paper flavor and then empty the water from inside the jug.
Weigh the desired amount of coffee (6 g per 100 ml) and grind to a medium setting. Place the V60 and the jug on the scales, add the ground coffee and shake slightly left and right to create a uniform surface in the grind. Start the extraction by adding a small amount of water (about twice as much as you have weighed your coffee) and wait for about 30”. Then gradually add, every 30”, the amount of water until you reach the desired amount.
In about 2:30-3:00 minutes the brewing should be complete. Remove the V60 utensil, make one or two turns of the jug for even mixing and serve.
