Syphon
The Siphon appeared in Berlin in 1830 with a simpler design than today. It is one of the oldest coffee machines. It was widely used throughout Europe and redesigned many times. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the Siphon will be released in America. It is a fact that Siphons are perhaps the first coffee machines designed to be beautiful. The operation of the Siphon is based on the laws of physics. The device consists of two glass chambers, separated by an intermediate filter. Water is placed in the lower chamber, while ground coffee is placed in the upper chamber.
Siphon offers complete temperature control and gives intense aromas and a particularly clean result and at the same time is probably the most impressive way of extraction.

Place the fabric filter on the top pan. The filter has a chain that you need to pull down and attach to the bottom of the hopper. Add the required amount of water, at least 300 ml, to the round glass container. Place the round container on the support and the hopper on top so that it is not completely connected and apply heat from the bottom. It will take some time for the water to evaporate and rise into the hopper.
Weigh the desired amount of coffee (18 g for 300 ml of water) and grind to a medium to thick setting. Once the water starts to boil, connect the funnel to the lower round container and make sure that they are tightly joined. The water will be transferred to the upper chamber, however always a small amount will remain in the container. Once the water is full, add the ground coffee and stir with a stirrer. After 45 ”stir again. Remove the heat source in about 1 ^ 30 minutes. The coffee will now, due to vacuum, pass through the fabric filter and fall into the round container at about 1 ‘.
In about 2: 30-3:00 minutes the extraction should be complete. Hold the construction from the base, shake lightly and serve
Enjoy!
