Allergens

The allergens in every product at our cafés.

Under Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, every allergen an unpackaged food contains must be declared to customers — in cafés as much as on packaging. Below is the allergen declaration for every product we serve.

“Contains” means the allergen is present as an ingredient; “traces” means it may be present. Products are made from compound ingredients and prepared in shared areas in the store, so the presence of allergens other than those listed cannot be ruled out.

The 14 allergens

  • Gluten — Cereals containing gluten (wheat, barley, oats, rye etc.) and products based on them
  • Crustaceans — Crustaceans (e.g. prawns) and products based on them
  • Eggs — Eggs and egg-based products
  • Fish — Fish and fish-based products
  • Peanuts — Peanuts and peanut-based products
  • Soy — Soybeans and soy-based products
  • Milk — Milk and dairy products (including lactose)
  • Tree nuts — Tree nuts (almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, pistachios etc.) and their products
  • Celery — Celery and celery products
  • Mustard — Mustard seed and its products
  • Sesame — Sesame seeds and sesame products
  • Sulphites — Sulphur dioxide and sulphites (a preservative in some foods, e.g. wine)
  • Lupin — Lupin (a legume) and its products
  • Molluscs — Molluscs (octopus, squid etc.) and their products
